Common Questions
Does Blankout require an account?
No. Blankout does not use accounts.
Does Blankout track me?
No. Blankout has no analytics, ads, tracking, or cloud sync.
Where is my focus data stored?
Focus stats, recent sessions, settings, monthly completion days, and active-session recovery data are stored locally on your device.
Can I turn sound off?
Yes. Open the Sound menu and choose Off.
Why does sound stop when I leave the app?
Ambient audio is foreground-only for the first release. The timer can reconcile when you return, but Blankout does not request a background audio entitlement.
Does Blankout send notifications?
No. Blankout does not request notification permission or schedule local notifications. Live Activities and Dynamic Island are timer display surfaces only.
How do I reset my data?
Open Stats & settings in the app, then choose Reset local data.
What iPhone features does Blankout support?
Blankout supports portrait setup, landscape focus mode, haptics, Live Activities, and Dynamic Island on compatible iPhones.
